Searching for a nice American historical movie, about slave trade and the crisis people faced during the precolonial era, then this might be worth your while.
“Alice” is a 2022 American movie added to Netflix towards the end of the year. After noticing it on my watch list, I finally made time during the festive season to watch it. The film takes us down memory lane, exploring the pre-and post-civil rights era in the American South.
Alice was born into slavery and grew up serving her white owners. She worked tirelessly, unaware of the world beyond the plantation. This oppression lasted for decades with no apparent hope of escape.
After losing her husband, Alice found the courage to flee, determined to secure her freedom, even at the risk of her life. Her ultimate goal was to return and liberate her people. The movie keeps you on edge as you wonder if she succeeds in her mission.
