Well I would say that there wasn’t any need for a part 2, they could have ended with part 1 of the wives on strike, it looked like the same story with part 1, where the women in the society needed something from the government and then needed to strike as they wanted to punish their husbands with one thing then needed most in order to get what they wanted from them. It was typically the same storyline with a few adjustments, one or two new faces and some new locations. The cinematography was ok, I just felt that it was almost the same storyline.
The 1hr 33mins seemed quiet long as some scenes were unnecessarily elongated. The group of lead actors (5 women) definitely acted their roles professionally. Some actually took up roles, that we never thought they could fit into and they totally killed it. The movie featured acts like Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Kenneth Okonkwo, Omoni Oboli and was also produced by Omoni Oboli.
“Wives on strike 2”was a sequel to 1, but this time had some extra crew and a new twist to the story, but it was about the wives revolting to get what they wanted. The movie was basically about women empowerment and women fighting for their rights in the society. The movie started well with the women having a meeting about assisting and helping each other. So it happened that one of their members was wrongly killed by her husband, who had always being beating her, she was having a conversation with her husband when he started beating her, pushed her mistakenly she hit her head on a sharp corner, and started bleeding, before he could know it, she was dead. He couldn’t tell anyone that he had killed his wife in error, so out of fear, he carried her and went to dump her by the street so that no one will know he killed her, little did he know that his first daughter was awake that night to witness the whole thing. By the time he got back she pretended to be at sleep. She later informed the women, who now decided to go on strike to get the government attention. They wanted the State to pass a law against women being beaten up and put an end to it.
The government yielded to their appeal and the strike was called off. The women were nominated to represent Nigeria in UK for the good works they had done, in abolishing child marriage and stopping women harassment.

To my verdict I would say 6/10 they had a good blend of comedy and storyline. Cast, crew and productions were good. Not sure of a recommendation, but if you want to have a good laugh, then you can check this movie out.
