Ansel Elgort was at his best in this brand new movie “Baby Driver” Ansel Elgort was known as Baby. Baby was a foremost driver he started driving at age 14, but Baby must drive with his choice of songs on his Ipod. He just couldn’t drive without his music, his music was his motivation. The director Edgar Wight had a perfect storyline on how the movie would go and bringing together actors like Jamie Fox, John Hamm, Kevin Spacey and Lily James made it even more exciting. Baby as he was popularly called had to totally rely on the beat of his personally selected tunes to be at his very best on any given mission. He was forced into working with a well-known notorious criminal (Kevin Spacey). For Baby to be at his utmost performance at anything he needed to listen to his favorite track and then he would get the required inspiration to succeed.
Jamie Fox also played a lead role in this movie, which was basically about the boss (Kevin) selecting the best of skilled robbers to accompany Baby on a mission. They had various missions from robbing the bank to post offices and anyway valuables where kept. Baby’s job technically was just to get them there and bring them back without being caught, and he did a terribly good job at it. Baby was a talented young man at driving, he could drive anything and drive through anyway, he was well calculated and coordinated and he preferred to drive smaller cars with very fast engines and responsive systems. He was so good at driving, it was more than just his hobby, driving was his life and he just couldn’t do without it, even without being paid, he just loved driving. Baby listened properly to every detail even though his ears were constantly plugged and on some occasions the team members would get offended because they felt he was unserious and could get them into trouble with the corps, but they were totally wrong.
In the course of the movie we found out that Baby had almost all the tracks on different ipods, and he recorded every meeting and conversation he had with people, so that he could go back to replay them and also turn them into soundtracks, his favorite was that of his mum, which he loved so much. Baby lost his dad and his mum to a car accident when he was less than 5, and the crash affected his hearing, hence the need to constantly plug his ears loud, so he could cut off the noise from his environment and only concentrate on what he wanted to listen to and his songs. He was adopted by an old black deaf and dumb guy, who took good care of him, Baby loved him so much and would do anything for his new dad. The whole operation got messy one day and when they were caught Baby had to go to jail for some years. The best part of this movie was towards the end during their last operation, and how the team had to start fighting each other, most of them lost their lives and baby had to fight to stay alive. I totally loved the end of the movie and the twist at the end ws absolutely fantastic.
