This movie reminded me of “Boss Level” of a few months ago, how the lead actor had to re-live the same day over 250 times till he got it right. That was the same case here in “Two Distant strangers”.
This movie was an Oscar- nominated short film of about 47 minutes long. It was simple, precise and nice and I loved how they repeated it over and over again.
Joey Badass played the lead role as “Cartoonist Carter James”. He was a young guy who met this pretty lady one night and they shared a very good time. The major issue here was that each time James caught out of her building, there was a cop waiting to kill him for no reason what so ever.
He had played this scene over a 100 times and still yet when it got to a certain time he would still get killed. James decided to have a talk with the police officer explaining that he was innocent all he wanted was to go back and meet his dog. Despite all plea and negotiations, James was still murdered.
Well, you would need to see the entire movie and the reason why the movie was created in the first place when you watch this Netflix movie.

To my verdict I would score this movie 7/10.
The movie was short, brief and precise and the message was well passed across if you listen. There was some giveaways that would point you in the direction to which the movie was based upon.
I liked the simple story line and the lessons passed across that if you were a colored dude if you were going to be killed you could actually be killed for no reason and for no fault of yours. So, the best thing was to stay out of trouble.
The cinematography, soundtrack, cast and few scenes lived it well making it seem so real and the aspect of living and dying over and over again seemed crazy but then nice, I liked it.
If you enjoyed “Boss Level” and you like dramatic movies where the same scene is played over and over again to get the right story, you might enjoy this brand new movie, it would be nice to hear what you felt about the movie.
